The 180 degree
We used the 180 degree rule
when we filmed the scene when Kaval goes to ask the councillor for help when he
finds out someone’s following him. The reasons
for doing this we thought seeing were each person is looking so in this case
there both looking at each other. However when filming this scene we had
difficulties due to the angles of the camera as in the height and placement of
the camera.

Rule of thirds

We used the rule of thirds pretty
much in every scene we done. We did this so that from the audience’s point of
view the scene looks natural and so that the audience can see the background.
We didn’t really have any issues when doing this as the person on camera was
always walking on the either side of the cameras point of view.
Match on action
We used the match on action
rule throughout the whole movie, for example when kava was walking through the
corridor. Accomplishing this was difficult, due to after filming when we
watched back the scene we had saw that there were huge jumps between scenes. So
from a realistic audience point of view the story did not flow well. So if we
were to film again we would redraw our story board so each scene is
chronologically correct and looks appropriate to the human eye.

Challenges I faced after production
As it was my first
time editing I didn’t really know what to expect. So overall I didn’t come
across any problems after production apart from that I wasn’t familiar with the
software for editing, although after a while the software became very clear to
use and was straight forward.
My overall strengths

My overall weaknesses
Throughout production we
made minor mistakes, for example things like the 180 degree rule and looking
into the camera. Doing this was very time consuming as it meant we had to go
back and film these scenes all over again. I think the reason for this is that
we were not paying attention to what we were filming and what we were viewing
post production.
My overall improvements
My overall improvements
would be to improve the main planning part of production, in my opinion I don’t
think this section was detailed enough. So for the next project for a better
finish I would improve the planning.
